One of my favorite things is discovering a new beautiful place in Southern California to shoot!  This spot was a fabulous find!  The lighting was yummy, the architecture was gorgeous and the couple was stunning!  Not to mention that the Ana (the soon to be bride) is Victoria’s best friend (if you ever visited our original location in Laguna Hills, you will remember Victoria the fun & fab photographer)!  I had such a great time on this shoot!  Victoria supervised and I got to take all of the in between moments.  I honestly felt like I was in Europe with the City Hall building as our backdrop.  Enjoy all the images!

Anna and I were so fortunately last week to be involved in all of the festivities leading up to Angela and Ali’s Wedding Number one (Wedding number two will be in India, complete with an elephant!)  Angela looked stunning is her fuchsia Sari with all the beautiful accessories to match.  Ali was so easy going and fun and even let us take a portrait of him getting his hair done by two stylist!  You could tell immediately that these two were loved by friends and family alike.  I heard so many words of praise for Angela, from her employers to her family to her best friends!  And Ali’s family and friends all flew out from New York on very short notice to share the wedding day.  For me, the day was a dream come true.  I loved all of the details of the ceremony itself and the beautiful colors and fragrances that were a part of the ceremony.  Thank you so much for letting us share the day with both of you!  Enjoy~

There are all kinds of ways to get a cutie like this engaged in a photography session.   One of my favorites is “where is the turtle” (or ladybug, or frog, or lizard)?  We started by actually finding a lizard.  The only problem with the lizard, was he was getting all of the attention and love, and me and my trusty camera were forgotten.  Soooo, we moved on to, “Where’s the turtle?”  I love kids and their imaginations.  We never actually found a turtle, but we still had a great time playing the game.  The best part, is that this little doll is my friend Kim’s daughter, so she played right along with us!  I bet she is still searching for the turtle!  Enjoy!

After lots of planning, and replanning, we finally managed to get Katie and Travis’s engagement session underway.  Though the forecast called for rain last Thursday, the sun peaked through the clouds and we stayed dry at the Mission.  The Mission is such a beautiful setting for an engagement session!   Katie and Travis are such a sweet couple and the camera LOVES them!  Travis joined the military recently, just like his Dad did before his wedding, so we didn’t have much time to shoot the engagement session prior to the wedding (which is in March).    I love, love, love all the variety of each of their shots.  They both brought several outfits, which helped the overall look and feel of the shoot go from casual to seriously sassy!  I can’t wait for the wedding!  Enjoy!

Happy weekend!  Yesterday got away from me, so I am just blogging for Friday today!  One of my goals for 2011 was to add a little more personal information to “Clicking with Kristin”!  I am thinking that on Fridays, I will post something fun about my family, fashion, food or something else that is FABULOUS!

So anyway, on Wednesday I was going through our old archived files, and stumbled on several sessions of my kids from 7 or 8 years ago.  I was soo excited to see what each folder contained.  The first one I opened was this adorable session of my little ballerina and her sweet brother.  There are always things in the past that cause regret, but beautiful portrait sessions of my kids is one thing that I have done right from the very beginning.  Even when it wasn’t me taking the portraits, I always splurged on photography!  Going back though these sweet memories made my heart smile!  I know in all of the craziness of running my own company, I did something very right in taking the time to document my babies growing up!   Now that my daughter has the same shoe size as me, and that my son can look me directly in the eyes, I cherish these images even more.  In fact, my favorites are not the perfectly posed images, but the ones that truly show their personalities!  I love you babies!!!!!!!  Enjoy (I am sure for those of you who have been with us from the very beginning, you have lots of these beautiful images of your kids from the original studio on Moulton and La Paz!)
