Happy Friday everyone!  I just had to share my family shoot for 2011 that Kristin did.  As always, the girl did a stellar job.  We had so much fun in Venice and Laguna Beach with her.  Even though my little man was not in a picture-taking mood {the kid is 2 and has his own ideas on what we should be doing on a Saturday morning…..so stubborn…..I have no idea where he gets that from….. ;) }, Kristin was still able to get some great shots of him as well as everyone else.  It helps that she has killer skills and speed with that camera of hers.  Thank you Kristin for the great pics!  Now I can get cracking on our Holiday Cards!

Take lots of wind, and sunscreen and sand and you get a pretty wild photography session!  Especially when it is after a BIG rain storm that left the beach covered in seaweed.  Oh well, the kids are adorable and the props and styling are done by my good friend Rashae Taylor, who is geting ready to launch the most fabulous Vintage Rental company!  The session was for my gal Jennifer Taylor’s amazing line of Chemical Free sunscreens and skin care, Smart Girls Who Surf (definitely click to check out her website).  Thanks to all involved!  My favorite one has to be baby Jensen working her little heart out to get sunscreen ALL OVER HER BODY!  Enjoy!

What can I say about these two beauties (I know one is a boy, but he is BEAUTIFUL)!  The weather has been warm, warm, warm, but these two still agreed to bundle up in the winter clothes to “get the shot”!   This shoot reminded me why I LOVE photographing kids.  They had such great giggles and grins and just wanted to play.  I always think the best shots are unplanned  moments in between the silliness, and during this session we had plenty moments.  Thanks so much for spending so much time with me and sorry about the promised Cheese Burger…..it was worth the giant smile!  Enjoy!

Some of my very favorite people made the drive up last week for a fun family session at the beach!  I was so happy to see these guys, as it has been a few years and I was really missing them.  I can’t believe how quick the kids have grown (they are very close in age to my kiddos).   It was cold, cold, cold for this session, but I kind of like the moodiness of the overcast sky and the warm clothes makes it feel more like a winter session.  We ended the evening in almost complete darkness by Darron and Diina’s very cool van!  A big thank you to them for letting us use it in the session!

Do you remember all of the super duper cute kids that we photographed at the Rascals to Rebels Back to School Model Search?  Well this beauty brought her little sister to the winning shoot and we had a GREAT time.  Their Mom is so sweet and brought a bundle of hair accessories (which we always adore) and the “to die for” sundresses that she just “whipped up” on the sewing machine the day before.  Some people are just filled with create talent.   We had a little trouble getting baby sister to let go of mama, but who cares, those type of images make the best portraits.  AND, of course, I was thrilled, to once again pull out my pettiskirts from Kaiya Eve and sit back, with my camera, of course, and watch these two dance.  A BIG GIANT THANK YOU to their mama, who sent us a boxful of her beautiful hair accessories to use on shoots.  PLEASE go to her website and order lots of these beautiful goodies at Irelyn Rae Designs!  Enjoy!
