After last year’s weather, I seriously considered moving inland, but oh what a difference a year makes! We have had so many beautiful days in the last month at the beach. Luckily, after a few attempts at scheduling on a perfect day, we got lucky with this beautiful engagement session at Picnic Beach in Downtown Laguna Beach. There is just the perfect amount of wind and clouds in the sky! I especially love the crazy tree branch. Enjoy!
April is typically unpredictable! Sometimes it is cloudy, some times foggy, often times rainy…. but not for Chris an Colleen. The most beautiful day of the year just happened to fall on their wedding day. It was completely magical with the warm air and dolphins jumping right off shore. The wedding ceremony was at beautiful Laguna Village and all the details from beginning to end were taken care of by the fabulous An All Inclusive Event. My favorite part of the day was when Chris said his vows to Colleen’s daughter. It was so touching and I definitely wiped tears from my eyes. And although Chris lead me to believe that he was planning a surprise honeymoon in Vegas, he fooled everyone by taking Colleen to the Ritz Carleton in Hawaii. This guy is a definite keeper! We ended the day with a wedding portrait session at the Montage Beach! I had such a blast getting to know this beautiful family! A few weeks back I thought I would take a fun few days off with my kids in Lake Arrowhead! I invited Anna and my best friend Keri and her kids… and my friends Vicki and Russell, and their son Liam and my daughter’s friend Molly… and for good measure I threw in an engagement session among the pines. I know, do I ever just sit and relax???? Well, my only explanation is that my job is my passion so it never feels like work. And anyway, I got to work with this beautiful couple! Can you get over Sarah’s stunning eyes. And Shawn’s baby blue are also pretty incredible!

Day two at Rockledge was spectacular. The wind was blowing just enough to kick up the bride’s veil, the light was lower in the sky and perfect for beach photography and the bride and groom were obviously very much in love!!!! A big shout out again to Berit, from Makeup by Berit for doing a fantastic job once again on the makeup, thank you to Caroline from Robert and Taylor’s for doing a great job on the hair. The beautiful lavender boutique was design by Weddings by Melia and the set up and yummy food was provide by An All Inclusive Event at Laguna Village. All in all I would say that Villa Rockledge is just a dream for a photographer. Each time I visit I find more stunning locations for portraits.
