What I like best about Wedding Photography at Blue Sky’s is all the fantastic people I get to meet along the way!  Being involved in one of the most important days in a couples lives somehow makes me feel like a close friend, and by the end of the wedding process, we usually are! :)  Take this gorgeous couple for example, I first meet them at the beach for their engagement session.  Of course my first reaction to meeting them was, seriously are these two supermodels????  But as I worked with them and got to know them, I realized that the true beauty of these two is the love they share.  Kevin and Leigh have that old fashion kind of love that is so obvious when you see how they look at each other.

Fast forward to their wedding day at Laguna Village planned by An All Inclusive Event…. Leigh looked stunning and was so calm and happy it was almost surreal.  Kevin wiped a tear from his eye as she walked down the aisle.  Their wedding was beautiful and spiritual.  Their love for God  and for each other is truly beautiful.  Thank you so much for including me in your special day!  Enjoy!

Silzer Modeling Session: Laguna Beach photographer

Weddings and families and kids, oh my!  Thank you to everyone who is contributing to this crazy, fun, busy summer of photography sessions at Blue Sky’s Studio!  I am enjoying the madness, but regret that I haven’t had much time to blog lately.  I am planning to make up for it this week with lots of fun shots from this summer.  My most favorite session this week was with the winner of last years’  Rascals to Rebel’s model search.  Since last year she has been a busy girl getting some great print ads and even a roll in a Soap Opera.  It is no wonder, she is darling both outside and in!  We had a blast playing and dressing up and spinning……. Thanks to her beautiful Mommy for putting together so many cute outfits.  Enjoy!

O’Malley Family’s new addition: Laguna Beach Baby photographer

The wonderful thing about being a portrait photographer for Blue Sky’s Studio is that I get to experience all the important milestones in my client’s life.  Take the Hunt family for example.  I met them two years ago through my friend Nikki who manages Fairytales.   Megan and Shawn were planning a destination wedding in Laguna Beach and I was so honored to work with them as their wedding photographer.  Two years later, they have moved to Orange County and welcomed a beautiful new baby boy into their family.  I was so excited to meet the newest member of the O’Malley family!

When Megan and her little guy showed up at my home studio, he was NOT in the mood for a photography session.  We both tried everything to get him to giggle!  Luckily, I have lots of beautiful outdoor spots to work in around my home and we decided to take the session to the outdoors!  Well that did the trick and this little baby boy was cracking up in no time!   What a beautiful Mamma and baby!  Thanks so much Megan for bringing him out to play! :) Enjoy!

Princess Party: Aliso Viejo Portrait photographer

Everyday I keep meaning to blog these beautiful images, but the day gets away from me.   Finally, finally….. I am sitting down to share this FABULOUS party with you!  Some of the old time Blue Sky’s family will remember my daughter Kasey’s fifth birthday complete with horse and carriage and TV coverage.  You will also remember that I was actually a “professional” children’s party planner for 5 years.  I would now like to hand over my crown to my great girl friend Sriti who has taken the cake, as they say, with this amazing Alice in Wonderland inspired tea party.  I LOVED being behind the camera and just appreciating all the detail and splendor that went into this celebration.  Laura Marie Foster provide hair styling services to both the birthday girl and her Mom and as a special added bonus, she also did my hair.  Just so I could be a part of the celebration, she also grabbed my camera so there is a fun portrait of me included in the day (see if you can find me :)!  Enjoy!

Family in the Field: Laguna Beach Portrait photography

I guess everyone is wondering where I’ve been right about now???  Let’s see, between 5th grade graduation, 11th birthday celebrations, 13 year old birthday celebrations, swim camp in Austin and family vacation, I have been in a whirlwind of activity.  I actually put my cameras down for more than a week :(!  I really missed all of them and I am glad to be back in the swing of things.  I have had so many great Blue Sky’s family sessions recently that I haven’t yet shared with all of you.  I want to start out with the beautiful Babiracki family!  They win the prize so far this season for the best outfits!  I love, love, love the simple black outfits on the couch, but then, they brought out the tans, creams and blues and my heart soared.   Not only were they great color choices, but the vintage feel is right up my alley.  Look for this family in future blog posts, cause I am excited to photograph them is some styled sessions we have planned for later this year.  Enjoy!
