Winston Family Beach Session: Laguna Beach Family Photography

One of the last times I saw this family, was when their oldest daughter was having a birthday party at Blue Sky’s Salon and Studio! Wow, it was so crazy to see how grown up she has become. It feels like only yesterday I was dressing up in a princess costume and hosting 6-10 parties a week for little girls and now they are all grown up into beautiful teenagers! I knew I was going to like working with the whole family when I saw her brother’s cool “Chucks”….got to love those shoes. Anyway, this was one of the first families to participate in our fundraiser for Laguna Hills High School. I am so excited to work with all of the familes and share all of the unique images! Enjoy!

Smart Kids Who Play shoot: Laguna Beach Children’s commercial photographer

Take lots of wind, and sunscreen and sand and you get a pretty wild photography session! Especially when it is after a BIG rain storm that left the beach covered in seaweed. Oh well, the kids are adorable and the props and styling are done by my good friend Rashae Taylor, who is geting ready to launch the most fabulous Vintage Rental company! The session was for my gal Jennifer Taylor’s amazing line of Chemical Free sunscreens and skin care, Smart Girls Who Surf (definitely click to check out her website). Thanks to all involved! Mel & Matt’s Wedding: Surf and Sand Hotel Laguna Beach

One of my favorite disney characters is Winnie the Pooh! I can identify with his sweetness and that he can be a bit airy (I too am known for spacey spells), but my favorite thing about Pooh bear is he shares my love for “blustery days”! Well, today being very blustery and rainy too, is the perfect time to catch up on my much delayed blogging.

I first spoke with this fabulous couple after they toured Villa Rockledge in Laguna Beach. They have a great love story, complete with Matt mistaking Mel for an airline attendant, and then spending the entire flight chatting and flirting with her until she agreed to go out with him when they arrive in California. Fast forward several years and they are planning the perfect wedding. As fate would have it, both Matt and Mel’s family ended up in the same place a few weeks ago. They said, what the heck, let’s just get married now and plan our dream reception with all of our friends some time in 2012. I was fortunate enough to be involved in their beautiful wedding day at the Surf and Sand Hotel in Laguna Beach. Everything about it was magical, including the absolutely amazing, over the top suite that they spent their wedding night in.
