I always love to get a chance to photograph in our client’s home and last weekend was no exception.  I have been working with the Lattin family since the girls were babies and each shoot is more fun than the last.  I adore working with kids who know me personally and “ham” it up for me.  These two were definitely Mommy’s little helpers with their new baby brother.   My proudest image is the two girls kissing babies head, we REALLY WORKED for this shot!  Enjoy!

As many of you know, I refer to the Montage beach as my personal office.  I know, it is crazy that I am so lucky to call such a gorgeous spot my personal work space.  It was great to get back to it with this fabulous family, The Burons!  They so graciously got into a bidding war for the session and Canvas we donated to St. Marys of all Angeles school in 2009.  It is always fun when I get to meet the families at the auction and even better when they tell me they outbid the competition for a chance at a Blue Sky’s sitting!  Despite being a VERY WINDY day, we got some beautiful images.  Buron family, thanks so much for playing with me and I am thrilled to hear that not only was the shoot not painful for the kids, but that everyone had a great time!

This was just a quick shoot of one of the cutest girls on the block with our new backdrops, let me know what you think!!

I feel really fortunate to live and work in Laguna Beach!  One of the things I really love about Laguna is the eclectic vibe of downtown!  There aren’t too many places in Orange County anymore that have a really great shopping and eating area that is unique.  That is why I have gotten involved with several other locally owned business to promote the 3 50 project.  Here is what it is in a nutshell:

3 stand for: What 3 independently owned businesses would you miss if they disappeared?  Stop in, Say hello (or in my case, e-mail me) pick up something that makes you smile!   Your purchases are what keeps those businesses around!

50 stands for-  If half the employed population spent $50 each month in locally owned, independent businesses, it would generate more that $42.5 billion in revenue.  Image the jobs and benefits it would bring to our hometowns.

For every $100 dollars spent in a local, independently owned business, $68 returns to the community through taxes, payroll, and other expenditures.

It only takes one person to start a trend and that is you!  Help Blue Sky’s Studio, Little, Fairytales and Little Bohemian start a trend in our hometowns to encourage everyone to support our local businesses.

Here are a few great shots from our “Support Local Businesses” photoshoot!  Enjoy:
