Sometimes, out of a bad situation comes something fabulous!  That was definitely the case with Ro and Joe.  This fantastic couple had the unfortunate experience of hiring a photographer who disappeared once he received a payment…total bad situation.  My gal Berit from Makeup by Berit, came to the rescue by suggesting the couple contact Blue Sky’s Studio to see if we had the date open.  As look would have it, we did and that led to us getting the opportunity to photograph them (yeah!)….fabulous!  The rest is beautiful history.

We were lucky enough to shoot their wedding at Franciscan Gardens in San Juan Capistrano (our home away from home).   AND the icing on the cake was that we staged a First Glance at the Mission in San Juan, one of my favorites spots in the whole world….so all of the fabulous wedding portraits were complete before the ceremony…. which gave Ro and Joe lots of time to enjoy partying with their close friends and family.  Enjoy the images from the day and a BIG THANK YOU to BERIT!!!!!

What a fun shoot this was with beauty Miss Chloe!  She is such a doll and as you can tell, the camera just loves her.  We had some extra fun out on this shoot when we ran into a fellow photographer who was shooting a session with a handsome guy who stepped in for some impromptu photos on Chloe’s shoot.  These are just a few of our favorite shots from the shoot….there were so many of them it was hard to narrow them down! But my favorite shot has to be the one of Chloe in the field of yellow flowers. It’s super duper pretty, don’t ya think?

Most of you probably know that I am officially on vacation until next week, but I could not resist posting a few images from a recent engagement session with this hot couple!!!!  Talk about great legs…. Amanda looked stunning.  I especially loved that she incorporated the fur coat that was her grandma’s into her wardrobe.  These two are getting married at the San Clemente casino… swoon!  I love the open floor plan and the fabulous grounds at this venue.  I can’t wait to show it off when we post their wedding images this summer!  One of the best parts of the wedding for me will be the vintage travel theme.  I really love old textures and vintage details incorporated into wedding themes.

For my wonderful family of Blue Sky’s clients, I am busy this week getting ready for our popular styled sessions.  This year I will provide clothing, props, special locations and lots more to make each session unique.  We will only be offering 20 sessions for January and February combined, and it will be on a first come, first serve basis.  Some of the themes that I already have planned are Urban color smash, gypsy inspired for kids, creekside for families, vintage cars for up to 3 families, Play in the snow in Arrowhead, angle inspired for little girls and so much more!   E-mail us directly for more details at kristin@blueskysstudio.com.

Hope everyone had a wonderful new year and all my good blessings for a fabulous 2012!  Enjoy!

The last time I saw this beautiful gal, she was still in middle school.  I can hardly believe that she is already in her Senior year of high school.  She is still just as lovely as I remember and we had a blast running around the Montage in Laguna Beach.  Although the weather was bad, bad, bad…..she still looks stunning.  You can see from the last image, that the thick fog rolled in during our session.  A little grey weather didn’t put a damper on her beautiful smile.  Thanks so much for trusting me with the hat and all!  Enjoy!
