After last year’s weather, I seriously considered moving inland, but oh what a difference a year makes! We have had so many beautiful days in the last month at the beach. Luckily, after a few attempts at scheduling on a perfect day, we got lucky with this beautiful engagement session at Picnic Beach in Downtown Laguna Beach. There is just the perfect amount of wind and clouds in the sky! I especially love the crazy tree branch. Enjoy!
My beautiful friend Julie owns the website Call Me California! She has amazing style and I think she makes a really fierce model! You know when someone tell you that they are not photogenic and never take good pictures? Well, for me, I look at that comment at a challenge. My job at Blue Sky’s Studio is to make each client feel comfortable enough in front of the camera that they forget I am taking portraits. Connie and Mike issued me that challenged and told me that they never get a good picture. Ha! I say! Look at how beautiful they both are in all of these images! They were so cute together and we just laughed and joked around the entire shoot. I know their wedding portraits at are going to be stunning! Stay tuned.
First and foremost I want to welcome my new beautiful, talented and all around great gals, Emily and Rachel! You haven’t heard from me for about a week, cause we have been busy, busy, busy training and getting then up to speed on everything Blue Sky’s! Second, I want to share with you these adorable images of my friend and client, Lisa’s, new baby girl! Although it was really tough to get a big toothy grin from her, I love all the different expressions we were able to catch. Thanks to her big brother for coming to the rescue and entertaining her during the session. He got lots of funny faces and event got her to stick out her tongue! Enjoy!
April is typically unpredictable! Sometimes it is cloudy, some times foggy, often times rainy…. but not for Chris an Colleen. The most beautiful day of the year just happened to fall on their wedding day. It was completely magical with the warm air and dolphins jumping right off shore. The wedding ceremony was at beautiful Laguna Village and all the details from beginning to end were taken care of by the fabulous An All Inclusive Event. My favorite part of the day was when Chris said his vows to Colleen’s daughter. It was so touching and I definitely wiped tears from my eyes. And although Chris lead me to believe that he was planning a surprise honeymoon in Vegas, he fooled everyone by taking Colleen to the Ritz Carleton in Hawaii. This guy is a definite keeper! We ended the day with a wedding portrait session at the Montage Beach! I had such a blast getting to know this beautiful family!
