Wow, it seems like for the last five years at least half of the summer in Laguna was overcast, and while I think overcast skys can lead to gorgeous photography, there is nothing like a golden sun for beautiful portraits!  So you can imagine that I was excited to take down Ella for a celebration session of her toothless smile!  The tide was a little high and we had to battle the water, but the session was amazing.  That was until I was informed that there were no beach photography sessions allowed on Victoria Beach until after Labor Day.  I am not one to rant, but this seems a little crazy to me.  Isn’t this a public beach???? Don’t families, brides and couples come from all over the world to have their pictures taken in Laguna Beach.  I have to imagine that the wedding industry significantly helps Laguna Beach’s economy.  So WHY would you outlaw all session until summers end?  Totally crazy if you ask me!

Anyway, they didn’t stop us from getting some amazing images!  Thanks to the Taber gals for being so understanding and going with the flow!

Why do I absolutely love photographing senior guys???  Everyone asks me if they are hard to work with or if their parents MAKE them get pics… but I have never had that experience.  Seriously, I just laugh the entire session.  For Sam, his mom and I both love his serious face, but he told me right from the start, “I can’t be serious”!  Okay, that launched the challenge.  I just kept trying to distract him with questions, etc.  Though every serious expression was followed by a huge laugh, we managed to get several!  Enjoy! :)

What an amazing weekend of shooting!  Two high school seniors and two fabulous families and one modeling headshot session!  Now I can’t wait to edit, edit, edit!  Here is just a quick sneak peak at one of my beautiful seniors Maddie!  She is absolutely gorgeous!

Ms. Abella is a vibrant, funny, silly beautiful girl who I had the pleasure of capturing with my camera.  Although she was in treatment and lost all her hair, that did not stop her from radiating joy and enthusiasm for her “glamour” session!  When I dropped off her art work just last week she said to me, you know I LOVE the balloon pics, but I really loved getting my pictures taken the most!  Really, a girl after my own heart!  Much love and hugs to her whole family!  I am so honored to call you friends! Enjoy!
