One lucky little girl in Laguna Hills got a big surprise from her Mom and Dad…. a beautiful new pony.  I had the honor of the first family photo session with the new addition!  Now, I am a dog person at heart and have not had much interaction with horses, but I have to say that I fell in love with this beauty.  All of the horses were camera hogs and really wanted to get into the action.   Seriously, they all have such unique personalities, I was amazed.

As for the family, I love how natural all of the portraits from the session came out.  The kids and the rest of the family were really enjoying the interaction with the entire stable.   Enjoy!

Okay, I know it is bias to say this is my “favorite” family, but I really, really love them.  Jan and I share the same ethnicity (Jan I know you know what I am talking about).  I think everyone has a friend that you think, “if only my kids can grow up as great as her kids, I will be able to say I am successful as a parent” (in this case the oldest two kids… as her youngest is the same age as my son, but fabulous in her own rite :))  The best part of the session was that not only did I photograph John and Jan’s immediate family, I also got to work with all the extended family (who, by the way, are also fabulous people).  I hope you enjoy the portraits as much as I enjoyed shooting them!!!!

Thank you to everyone for helping make 2011 Blue Sky’s Studio most successful year to date!  I know I have been MIA, but with shooting, processing and meeting with clients, my plate has been full.  However, hopefully I am now back!  I just wanted to share one  sassy family’s photography session!  More to follow.  Thanks to the Morris family for reminding my again why I am in love with photography!

There are many things in this life that I count as blessings…. my beautiful children, my loving husband, my wonderful friends, having a business that I truely love, AND Coach Andi!!!!  You probably know that my kids have dreams of being Olympic Swimmers.  They practice 5-6 days a week, 2-3 hours per day, rain or shine.  This has made them amazing athletes, but the lessons they learn at Nova Swim Team extend far beyond the swimming pool.  Like, the importance of setting goals and measuring their success, and how to make friends with other kids from different cultures with different family structures, and how hard work pays off!  Coach Andi has been a fantastic influence on both my kids.  So, it was my honor to photograph her beautiful twins.  With much love and lots of giggles I want to sincerely thank you Andi!  Enjoy!
