The wonderful thing about being a portrait photographer for Blue Sky’s Studio is that I get to experience all the important milestones in my client’s life.  Take the Hunt family for example.  I met them two years ago through my friend Nikki who manages Fairytales.   Megan and Shawn were planning a destination wedding in Laguna Beach and I was so honored to work with them as their wedding photographer.  Two years later, they have moved to Orange County and welcomed a beautiful new baby boy into their family.  I was so excited to meet the newest member of the O’Malley family!

When Megan and her little guy showed up at my home studio, he was NOT in the mood for a photography session.  We both tried everything to get him to giggle!  Luckily, I have lots of beautiful outdoor spots to work in around my home and we decided to take the session to the outdoors!  Well that did the trick and this little baby boy was cracking up in no time!   What a beautiful Mamma and baby!  Thanks so much Megan for bringing him out to play! :) Enjoy!

I love this one!  He is so cute blowing kisses to his Mamma!

I guess everyone is wondering where I’ve been right about now???  Let’s see, between 5th grade graduation, 11th birthday celebrations, 13 year old birthday celebrations, swim camp in Austin and family vacation, I have been in a whirlwind of activity.  I actually put my cameras down for more than a week :(!  I really missed all of them and I am glad to be back in the swing of things.  I have had so many great Blue Sky’s family sessions recently that I haven’t yet shared with all of you.  I want to start out with the beautiful Babiracki family!  They win the prize so far this season for the best outfits!  I love, love, love the simple black outfits on the couch, but then, they brought out the tans, creams and blues and my heart soared.   Not only were they great color choices, but the vintage feel is right up my alley.  Look for this family in future blog posts, cause I am excited to photograph them is some styled sessions we have planned for later this year.  Enjoy!

As time goes by I am more and more appreciative of the great people that surround me in my life. Success is hard independently, but when you have a brilliant team to rely on not only is it easier, it is also tons more fun. Laura Foster is a member of our amazing team. She is so talented, especially where hair is concerned. She and I have decided to team up on everything from weddings to modeling sessions. I highly recommend that you visit Laura before any photography session with Blue Sky’s Studio. For this photography session, not only did Laura do a great job on three different hair styles, but she also provided lost of the clothing inspirations and hair accessories and most importantly, she provided the sassy couple to model for us. I am thrilled with how all of the images turned out and I am so thankful that we spent the whole day on the session. My gal Cheryl at Radiance Artistry provide the retro makeup! Thanks to everyone for making this a great Blue Sky’s Studio styled session!

Sometimes the weather is just dreamy…..perfect for a furniture in the field session!   These two were so great and up for anything.  I love the classic, romantic look of all of their portraits!  I know these two were so excited to see just a few from their session!  Enjoy!

The first warm, sunshiny day of the year, we headed down to old town Orange with this troop of super cute girls. Oh, and we brought Dad along too! Mom was ready with a suitcase full of new clothes and the girls agreed to model for lollipops…… so we headed off around town. We discovered a few new funky spots as well as revisited some of my favorites. All in all, we had a great time and at the end of the session, I waved goodbye as they headed out on a car trip! Enjoy!
