After lots of planning, and replanning, we finally managed to get Katie and Travis’s engagement session underway.  Though the forecast called for rain last Thursday, the sun peaked through the clouds and we stayed dry at the Mission.  The Mission is such a beautiful setting for an engagement session!   Katie and Travis are such a sweet couple and the camera LOVES them!  Travis joined the military recently, just like his Dad did before his wedding, so we didn’t have much time to shoot the engagement session prior to the wedding (which is in March).    I love, love, love all the variety of each of their shots.  They both brought several outfits, which helped the overall look and feel of the shoot go from casual to seriously sassy!  I can’t wait for the wedding!  Enjoy!

After a soggy few weeks, I was more than excited to get down to the beach for a beautiful engagement session.  Jessica and Rus were up for anything and mother nature certainly delivered.  Not only did we get a spectacular sunset, but we also got some mind blowingly big waves in the background.  I always love this secluded spot, and I was so glad that the beach goers cleared out as the sun was going down.  As an added bonus, we saw a family of dolphins playing right off the shoreline.  I think this was a good sign of things to come for these two.  I am really looking forward to their wedding this summer in Newport Beach!  Enjoy!

You may recognize Jessica…..she has been a great addition to the Blue Sky’s team.  She has a fantastic, take charge attitude and is always stellar when it comes to making sure everything is handled perfectly.  Anna and I had the pleasure of photographing her engagement session to wonderful Andrew.  They both were so much fun and never got tired of saying “SASSY”!!!!  I really appreciated the fact that prior to their session, they got permission from several shops that let us shoot inside their stores.  A big thank you to the beautiful Chandelier shop, Summer Hill Ltd and Country Roads Antiques for letting us take over their stores for about 15 minutes.  And a big shout out to  Orange Candy Company for the final images!  You should all definitely head over to Orange if you are in need of some beautiful antiques, some sweet treats or a stunning chandelier!  I also want to thank Stephanie Werner for doing a great job on Jessica’s makeup!

Aimee and Tom are a CRAZY, FUN couple and I just LOVED this session.  Aside from the fact that I now have about 10 names for each of them, I managed to remember their real names long enough to direct them down to the beach.  From there it was any name goes and we just kept making up new ones.  You can see how much they love each other and it really shines through in all of their images.  I am so excited to photograph their wedding next month!  I hope I keep their names straight long enough to get through the ceremony.  Enjoy!

Ray and Sylvia were such a pleasure to work with!  I felt like we had kindred spirits as they share my love of the outdoors!  Bugs, climbing, laying on the ground, etc. were no problem for these two!  We were so blessed with a beautiful morning last week with low fog and perfect temperatures!  Although we did get in a little trouble from the rangers for going off of the main path, everything else was perfect.  We ended our session with seeing a family of deers!  It was truly magical.  Enjoy!
