There are not words to describe how excited I was to shoot a wedding for Villa Rockledge’s Wedding brochure!  This historic property was built in the early 1920s and is filled with so many beautiful photographic opportunities, from a private beach, to gorgeous balconies to a medieval turret.  We also assemble a “dream team” to get our bride looking haute couture!  Berit, from makeup by Berit and Laura for hairstyling.   From the flowers to the beautiful linens and chairs, An All Inclusive Event at Laguna Village did a spectacular job giving the estate a wedding makeover.   If you are interested in checking out this beautiful spot, they are having a Valentine’s weekend open house complete with appetizers and a full bar for $40 per person or $75.00 per couple.  The event is hosted today from 1-5 PM and tomorrow from 1-5 PM.  Click here for more information!  Enjoy!

I have said it before, but this season’s weather is NUTS!  We have had  lots of reschedules and it has made for some pretty crazy weekend shoots.  BUT, you can’t reschedule a wedding.  Kami and Jim thought that they would have to get married in Kami’s parents house because it was a DOWNPOUR all day.  The kids tried to help by doing a “stop this rain” dance.  I guess it worked!  At 2:30 PM the clouds parted and let the sunshine in.  We had one little minor shower, but other than that, this wedding had absolutely gorgeous lighting!  Though it was cold, we had an awesome time on the beach and these two love birds were a blast to work with.  The best part was that Kami had no problem getting the dress wet!  She had such a great attitude and it made it a great experience for everyone.  Hope you enjoy the images, here are just a few of my favorites!

I am so thrilled that Vintage is all the rage in weddings.  It is my favorite.  I arrived at the Newport Hyatt to see Silvia getting the last touch of makeup applied.  She look stunning, and the hairpiece made the entire look.  She had her makeup done by Lauren at Glow by Lauren (click on the link to visit her site) and it looked spectacular.   Her dress was the finishing touch and both Anna and I got tears in our eyes.  She was just lovely.  I have never shot on the grounds at the Hyatt Newporter, but it was perfect!  In fact, after the ceremony, we went back to the hotel for our couples session.   We arrived at the church with not a minute to spare.  We took one quick portrait of Ray (the groom) and then assumed our positions in the church.

What can I say about Ray and Silvia?  These two are so much in love that it just radiates from them.   AND, they had the same wedding song that I had at my wedding 17 years ago.  So, naturally I cried at their wedding.  I know that these two will have so many years of happiness together.  Thanks for letting us be a part of your beautiful day!

I am sure you will recognize this beautiful couple!  Last year I captured A.J. asking Dana to marry him at the mission, after that we did a fun engagement shoot at the “Fun Zone” in Newport Beach, followed by a pinup shoot in my studio!  Well, they finally tied the knot and what an amazing affair!  Dana wanted to create a 1940s vibe and she definitely succeeded!  Everything from her dress, to the vintage airplane and car to the photo booth at the event was perfect!  One of my favorite things was the In and Out Burger truck!  Now that is what I call great wedding food!  And of course an AJ & Dana event would not be complete without their baby!  I am sure you can figure out who that is!  Thanks for a ton of fun!
