Laguna Beach photographer: Wholefoods in Laguna Niguel

So for just a little bit of personal information about me, I am a health food nut! If I was rich and famous, my one indulgence would be a chopper. I just want someone to chop tons of fresh veggies and fruit for me and I will do the rest. My idea of fun is to wander around in Wholefoods and dream up healthy recipes. My favorite breakfast is a smoothie (made in my amazing Vitamixer) with spinach, kale, super greens, frozen acai berries, blueberry juice, pineapple, blackberries, flax oil and a banana. Seriously… I actually love it!

This leads to an amazing morning a few weeks ago when my good friend, Lisa Rieden (I know… she has tons of good friends cause she is so sweet) asked me to be the photographer for the executive chefs of both the Laguna Niguel and the “coming soon” new Wholefoods in Fashion Island. Okay, I adore kids and all and a good wedding makes me swoon… but Wholefoods???? These people are like my idols. It was such a great experience and Ashley (the executive chef in Laguna Niguel) plated three delicious entrees that she will feature in upcoming special “Chef’s table” events. I think all the details are in the store or on their website. Anywho, thanks to Lisa for thinking of me and making me feel like a “Rock Star” photographer for the morning!

Laguna Beach Family Photography: Calaiacovo Family

I spend a LOT of time at the pool. I mean, a crazy amount of time… poolside at Soka University in Aliso Viejo. And it isn’t because I am working on my tan or relaxing, it is simply because I am raising two kids that are unbelievably good swimmers. Dreams of going to the Olympics type swimmers. Now I know that there is only 2 best swimmers in each event in the US that get to go to the Olympics, but kid can dream right! :) For the past two years, I do my best to catch up on Blue Sky’s Studio work while they are swimming. Still, there has been time to meet some amazing families that I feel fortunate to call friends.

So, where am I going with all this talk of swimming??? To the amazing Calaiacovo family. They too have some extremely talented, dedicated swimmers. Not to mention that all three of their kids are knock out beautiful. It is no surprise when you see their gorgeous Mama! Dad, you aren’t bad either. Though we battled a crazy crowd on the beach, we still managed to get some amazing portraits of their family. Thanks so much to the Calaiacovo family for trusting me to capture their memories! Just one more quick post today of these two total cuties who both celebrated a birthday this summer! Just in case you are wondering, these portraits are taken in my itty bitty, tiny studio in Laguna Canyon! We have brought the urban feel we love, inside! I am looking forward to photographing some fun family portraits as well as lots of birthday kids in the studio. Enjoy!

San Juan Capistrano Styled Photography session: San Juan Capistrano children’s photographer

I can’t believe today is the first day of high school for my son Cameron! Where does the time go?? I watched him walk slowly up the staircase to his first class and felt proud to be his Mom (or as he calls me, Mamalee)! So for me it is back to my third child.. Blue Sky’s. I have some many fabulous sessions to share with you and I am excited for another holiday season. Please, if you are a member of our Blue Sky’s family, and book a family session each year, try to book early. We want to provide you with beautiful family images, holiday cards, wall art and with exceptional service. Our cut off date for holiday cards will be earlier this year and I want to make sure we can accommodate everyone!

So, the first amazing session to share with you is this drop dead gorgeous gal. She was my first model for this new, very secret location and she did an amazing job. I love the contrast of the white and the black outfits! Enjoy~
