It has been about a month since I last photographed in The Mission in San Juan Capistrano, so I was surprised at how many families were visiting.  The day was gorgeous, and there was even a Mariachi band playing in the background.  The perfect atmosphere for a family photography session.  The Mays are new to Blue Sky’s Studio, referred by one of my friends and clients who I work with on a charity for CHOC hospital.  They are truly a lovely family and I really enjoyed getting to know all three generations.  Didn’t they do an amazing job on their clothing style.  How did they know that I love burnt orange??  A perfect color combination to get everyone in the mood for Fall.  Between their beautiful daughter and their handsome son, no to mention the rest of the family, I think they are blessed with some pretty great genes!  Thank you so much for trusting me with your family portraits!  Enjoy.

A magical ocean front property, and a simply stunning bride and groom made this one of the most beautiful Blue Sky’s weddings this year.  Petra and Todd have been planning their wedding day across the ocean as Petra had to wait to get permission to enter the US from Sweden.  Todd’s Mom, who is simply fantastic, did all of the heavy planning for these two and I think she pulled off such a magical event, in such a short amount of time, that she may have a future in wedding planning.  I love the simple red and white color choice they decided to go with and the sunset ceremony was the icing on the cake.  Emily, Samuel and I were honored to be a part of your special day!  Enjoy!

One of the last times I saw this family, was when their oldest daughter was having a birthday party at Blue Sky’s Salon and Studio!  Wow, it was so crazy to see how grown up she has become.  It feels like only yesterday I was dressing up in a princess costume and hosting 6-10 parties a week for little girls and now they are all grown up into beautiful teenagers!   I knew I was going to like working with the whole family when I saw her brother’s cool “Chucks”….got to love those shoes.  Anyway, this was one of the first families to participate in our fundraiser for Laguna Hills High School.  I am so excited to work with all of the familes and share all of the unique images!  Enjoy!

Over the years I have been involved in literally thousands of photography sessions.  Sometimes it is hard for me to recall the ones from several years ago, but a few stick out in my mind.  I worked with a beautiful young girl and her brother.  She was born to be in front of the camera.  The entire session I was laughing and loving all of her poses and moves.  I was sure that prior to the photography session she had a Vogue Magazine ear marked with every different “look” she wanted to achieve.  Fast forward 5 years to the Newport Fun Zone.  She and her beautiful Auntie booked a last minute sunset session.  Although the temperature was a little chilly, this little gal Rocked every look once again.   She is destine for super stardom and I am just so lucky that I will get to say “I knew her when she was just a little girl”!  Enjoy!

My beautiful client Rashae came to me with the idea of having a wedding vow renewal ceremony celebrating a decade of marriage between she and her husband!  I loved the idea, especially when she started to describe all of the details and special touches she was going to include to make it a one of a kind event.  So another family member was just about to celebrate their 50 year wedding anniversary and the idea for a Decade and 1/2 Century party was born.  They had a lovely sunset ceremony on Monarch beach and we set up a super duper cute photo booth right on the beach for all the guests.  Thanks to Rashae we had a giant frame, frame hangers and darling wing back chairs for the set.  Everyone at the wedding jumped in and had a photo session.  When they returned to the house for cocktails and dancing, we had all the images printed and framed waiting for each guest.  Thank you so much to the Taylor family for including me and my crew!  We had a blast!  Enjoy!
