A magical ocean front property, and a simply stunning bride and groom made this one of the most beautiful Blue Sky’s weddings this year.  Petra and Todd have been planning their wedding day across the ocean as Petra had to wait to get permission to enter the US from Sweden.  Todd’s Mom, who is simply fantastic, did all of the heavy planning for these two and I think she pulled off such a magical event, in such a short amount of time, that she may have a future in wedding planning.  I love the simple red and white color choice they decided to go with and the sunset ceremony was the icing on the cake.  Emily, Samuel and I were honored to be a part of your special day!  Enjoy!

I feel like I am always saying, “the BEST thing about my job is…….”, but I can’t help it!  There are lots of great things about my job!  So, one of the best things about my job is seeing the same kiddos and families year after year and feeling like I am a part of their family.  Take this beautiful girl, for example, I think we have been taking her birthday portraits since she was two years old!  Now we laugh when Mom say “wait, I just need to brush your hair one more time” or “open your eyes when you smile!” :)   She has blossomed into such a sweet and fun gal and we had a great time goofing around in the park!  Thanks for always making these sessions loads of fun for me!  Enjoy!

Every once in a while I have a new born shoot that is just so yummy and fuss free I think “all I wanna do it work with babies”!  Of course, I love faces of all ages, but something about a fresh, sweet baby just gets to me.  Little Dominic was just a pure joy to photograph.  I just purchased these cutie little hats and was so excited to get a chance to photograph a new baby boy.  He was perfect and modeled every single new hat without missing a beat (okay, he did pee on me, but what can you expect from a naked new boy???)!   Enjoy!!!!!

Wow was all I could say when I met Hope and David at the Mission in San Juan Capistrano for their engagement session.  Seriously, they both look so fabulous and brought the perfect attire for every part of the Blue Sky’s engagement session.  We started out with some gorgeous romantic shots in the Mission.  We followed that up with wandering around the historic district.  There was literally 1oos of beautiful spots to photograph these two.  Doesn’t Hope’s makeup look fantastic!  Thanks to Berit from Makeup by Berit for doing such an awesome job!  I can’t wait for the wedding at Laguna Village by An All Inclusive Event, followed by the reception at The Hills hotel in Laguna Hills.  The best part of all is that they are going to follow up the ceremony with a Thrash the Dress session!  That’s right, Hope is going in the Ocean in her beautiful wedding dress!  Stay tuned and enjoy!

I guess everyone is wondering where I’ve been right about now???  Let’s see, between 5th grade graduation, 11th birthday celebrations, 13 year old birthday celebrations, swim camp in Austin and family vacation, I have been in a whirlwind of activity.  I actually put my cameras down for more than a week :(!  I really missed all of them and I am glad to be back in the swing of things.  I have had so many great Blue Sky’s family sessions recently that I haven’t yet shared with all of you.  I want to start out with the beautiful Babiracki family!  They win the prize so far this season for the best outfits!  I love, love, love the simple black outfits on the couch, but then, they brought out the tans, creams and blues and my heart soared.   Not only were they great color choices, but the vintage feel is right up my alley.  Look for this family in future blog posts, cause I am excited to photograph them is some styled sessions we have planned for later this year.  Enjoy!
