What a pleasure to watch so many beautiful kids grow up into fabulous young adults! I feel blessed to be in the lives of so many amazing families. Here are two really great girls who I have had the pleasure of traveling with and photographing for several years now. They just get more and more beautiful on the inside and out!

Everyday I have this little conversation with myself, “Self, today you must blog”…. and then the phone rings, or someone needs a ride, or I book a last minute session and the day is completely gone.  Do you ever feel like the “todo” list never ends?  Well, I can’t promise a daily blog post with summer in full swing and the weather being perfectly gorgeous for family sessions, but I can promise to keep in touch with my Blue Sky’s family on a more regular basis.  Having said all that, many of you may know that we just launched our new wedding blog,  I would really, truely love and appreciate it if you would all go make a little visit and just say hello, or better yet give us some feedback on our engagement and wedding photography.

Now, finally, the Wood Family!  Wow, I think I am in love!  Seriously, they are not only beautiful on the outside, but that have this amazing chemistry and love that just makes you want to become an honorary member of the Wood Team!  Little did I know when they contacted me to book a session, that Sara is also an accomplished children’s photographer in the Bay Area.  She has definitely trained her kids well in front of the camera as they are naturals.  I did not want the session to end.  To Sara, thank you for trusting me with your fabulous family!  Enjoy!

Kristin had so much fun shooting my friend Brandi and her adorable family in their retro-vintage inspired styled session.  Here are some of my favorite shots from the shoot. Beautiful family and beautiful pictures!  Thank you to Rashae Taylor from Fansea Finds for styling the shoot and making the backdrop so beautiful (as always)!  Enjoy!

Just a quick preview before I wrap it up for the day!  Our schedule has been such a whirlwind the last few weeks with fabulous families and lots of high school senior sessions, I haven’t had much of a chance to post.  Hopefully I will catch up soon and get to show you tons of lovely sessions!

I really loved this session, not just because the family is gorgeous, but also because they were so amazingly easy to work with.  Who would have throught that letting a boy throw an orange at you would be the key to a successful photography session.   A big, giant thank you to our stylist, Rashae from Fansea Finds, for the couch and to Sriti for the clothing suggestions.  Enjoy… and Christie we are super excited to see you tomorrow!

Most of you probably know that I am officially on vacation until next week, but I could not resist posting a few images from a recent engagement session with this hot couple!!!!  Talk about great legs…. Amanda looked stunning.  I especially loved that she incorporated the fur coat that was her grandma’s into her wardrobe.  These two are getting married at the San Clemente casino… swoon!  I love the open floor plan and the fabulous grounds at this venue.  I can’t wait to show it off when we post their wedding images this summer!  One of the best parts of the wedding for me will be the vintage travel theme.  I really love old textures and vintage details incorporated into wedding themes.

For my wonderful family of Blue Sky’s clients, I am busy this week getting ready for our popular styled sessions.  This year I will provide clothing, props, special locations and lots more to make each session unique.  We will only be offering 20 sessions for January and February combined, and it will be on a first come, first serve basis.  Some of the themes that I already have planned are Urban color smash, gypsy inspired for kids, creekside for families, vintage cars for up to 3 families, Play in the snow in Arrowhead, angle inspired for little girls and so much more!   E-mail us directly for more details at

Hope everyone had a wonderful new year and all my good blessings for a fabulous 2012!  Enjoy!
