After lots of scheduling and rescheduling this photography session, we finally got the whole family down to San Juan Capistrano!  I always love getting generational portraits and this was a great opportunity to get lots of family combinations.   I have not seen the two younger gals for a few years and it was great to have fun and be silly with the two of them.  Thanks so much to all of you for being patient with Anna and me as we walked all over San Juan.  Enjoy!

Wow, I really love shooting in January and February.  As most of you know, these are the months that we book our creative sessions.  Typically we spend about an hour on a photography session, but for the months of January and February, we take our time and spend at least 2 hours on each session.  This give us plenty of time to walk around slowly at each location and find tons of great areas to shoot in.  It also makes every session very unique!

I met up with these super cute kiddos last Sunday morning in Newport Beach.  It was one of the first beautiful days of the year and perfect weather for a bright, colorful session.  Of course, we brought our super cute pettiskirts and other fun accessories to give the session a little pizazz.   I love how great both of these kids were at giving me the pouty model face that I so love!  Thanks so much Heather for getting up bright and early!  Enjoy!

It is funny how you can know someone for a long time, but see them differently when you look at them through the lens!   I have always thought that these two gals are really beautiful, but I didn’t realize how truly stunning Diane’s daughter is until I started photographing her.   I know she could have a very successful career as a model if she is interested.   The best part about both of the Dorn girls is that they are genuinely really nice people.  Thanks so much to both of you for working with me!

Any place in Orange County that has good photography potential is really busy, busy, busy right now!  This weekend I had the pleasure of meeting the Smith family and fortunately for me, they really wanted an Urban feel to their session.  I can’t even begin to say what a great time I had with them.  Their kids are fantastic and were really up for any suggestion!  We scouted around the area, and I fell in love with a door.  Unfortunately, it was probably private property, and when I told them to sneak up and sit down, I had no idea that a BIG German Shepard was also sitting near the front door, with NO LEASH.  Needless to say, you won’t find any images with the cool front door here, but we found plenty of other great spots.  Enjoy!

It feels like we have been trying to plan this session for over a year!  My friend Jen has absolutely gorgeous kids and we keep scheduling and rescheduling her shoot.  Finally, we got the entire family out for a funky urban session.  There are literally too many awesome portraits from this shoot to even choose my favorites, but here is my first attempt.   Her youngest was born to model and her oldest daughter has such great style and flair, I think I will work with her next summer to style my sessions!  Thank you for coming out to play last week.  Looking forward to showing you all of the images!  Enjoy!
