Great food, great music and an unbelievable view perfectly describes Connie and Mike’s beach front wedding by An All Inclusive Event. Although Connie had a little hair emergency and we had an extremely high tide for the wedding portraits, the wedding went off without a hitch! It was so sweet to see Connie with her Dad, and her Dad with all his grandkids. There is a lot of love in this family! Enjoy!
My beautiful client Rashae came to me with the idea of having a wedding vow renewal ceremony celebrating a decade of marriage between she and her husband! I loved the idea, especially when she started to describe all of the details and special touches she was going to include to make it a one of a kind event. So another family member was just about to celebrate their 50 year wedding anniversary and the idea for a Decade and 1/2 Century party was born. They had a lovely sunset ceremony on Monarch beach and we set up a super duper cute photo booth right on the beach for all the guests. Thanks to Rashae we had a giant frame, frame hangers and darling wing back chairs for the set. Everyone at the wedding jumped in and had a photo session. When they returned to the house for cocktails and dancing, we had all the images printed and framed waiting for each guest. Thank you so much to the Taylor family for including me and my crew! This is this story of a 13 year romance, ending in a beautiful wedding celebration uniquely Jessica and Anthony. It was a picture perfect day at the beach, just the right amount of diffused light peaking through the clouds. Jessica was with her best girl friends from high school while Anthony, a little nervous, finished getting ready in his room! Jessica had not one, but two fantastic dresses and, super duper hot shoes! We had fun finding some new locations at the Holiday Inn Laguna Beach (which, by the way, is a great spot for wedding portraits) and then we were off to Laguna Village for another beautiful All Inclusive Wedding. Instead of a more traditional wedding, Anthony waited in anticipation while Jessica met him at the bottom of the stairs so they could walk down the isle together. After a quick ceremony it was down to the beach where, in Anthony’s words, I earned my $$$$ laying in the sand laughing at both of their silly antics. One of my favorite images on the day is Anthony and Jessica running down the beach holding hands. The funniest part was actually watching this, cause Anthony was really hamming it up, skipping and jumping……. I also love the images of the best friends. You can really tell how much they love each other!
Another break from tradition was toasting with beer steins and the funky cake topper! All in all it was a fantastic day and I really had such an awesome time being part of it. Enjoy!!!!
After last year’s bummer summer weather, I am so thrilled at the gorgeous evenings we have been having at the beach. It is the perfect lighting for anyone, families, engaged couples, kids, weddings…. the list goes on and on. It was back to the Blue Sky’s office with me (you know, my beach front, get your toes wet, office) with several gorgeous engagement sessions over the last few weeks. These two flew over from Vegas to take care of their last minute wedding details with An All Inclusive Event, and to get some beautiful portraits on the beach. I had a blast playing with a new lighting set up and enjoying the beach in an almost private setting! Enjoy!
The wonderful thing about being a portrait photographer for Blue Sky’s Studio is that I get to experience all the important milestones in my client’s life. Take the Hunt family for example. I met them two years ago through my friend Nikki who manages Fairytales. Megan and Shawn were planning a destination wedding in Laguna Beach and I was so honored to work with them as their wedding photographer. Two years later, they have moved to Orange County and welcomed a beautiful new baby boy into their family. I was so excited to meet the newest member of the O’Malley family!
When Megan and her little guy showed up at my home studio, he was NOT in the mood for a photography session. We both tried everything to get him to giggle! Luckily, I have lots of beautiful outdoor spots to work in around my home and we decided to take the session to the outdoors! Well that did the trick and this little baby boy was cracking up in no time! What a beautiful Mamma and baby! Thanks so much Megan for bringing him out to play! :) Enjoy!
