The wind was howling and the tide was high…..I was sure that we would have to move Tricia and John’s engagement shoot to another beach, but we decided to head down and check out the beach anyway.   I adore that particular beach because you can get so many different looks and landscapes out of just a small area.  Lucky for me… this was one of the only beaches protected from the wind and there was hardly anyone on the beach!  Sooo….my beautiful beach, a fabulous couple and sail boat blue seas, everything I could ask for in a photography session.   Not to mention, that I am a sucker for tattoos on beautiful people and these two delivered!  Enjoy!

Day two at Rockledge was spectacular.  The wind was blowing just enough to kick up the bride’s veil, the light was lower in the sky and perfect for beach photography and the bride and groom were obviously very much in love!!!!   A big shout out again to Berit, from Makeup by Berit for doing a fantastic job once again on the makeup, thank you to Caroline from Robert and Taylor’s for doing a great job on the hair.  The beautiful lavender boutique was design by Weddings by Melia and the set up and yummy food was provide by An All Inclusive Event at Laguna Village.  All in all I would say that Villa Rockledge is just a dream for a photographer.  Each time I visit I find more stunning locations for portraits.  I am running back over there today for their open house.  If you are interested in attending, please visit their website at www.villarockledge.com.  Enjoy!

After a soggy few weeks, I was more than excited to get down to the beach for a beautiful engagement session.  Jessica and Rus were up for anything and mother nature certainly delivered.  Not only did we get a spectacular sunset, but we also got some mind blowingly big waves in the background.  I always love this secluded spot, and I was so glad that the beach goers cleared out as the sun was going down.  As an added bonus, we saw a family of dolphins playing right off the shoreline.  I think this was a good sign of things to come for these two.  I am really looking forward to their wedding this summer in Newport Beach!  Enjoy!

It is funny how you can know someone for a long time, but see them differently when you look at them through the lens!   I have always thought that these two gals are really beautiful, but I didn’t realize how truly stunning Diane’s daughter is until I started photographing her.   I know she could have a very successful career as a model if she is interested.   The best part about both of the Dorn girls is that they are genuinely really nice people.  Thanks so much to both of you for working with me!

Any place in Orange County that has good photography potential is really busy, busy, busy right now!  This weekend I had the pleasure of meeting the Smith family and fortunately for me, they really wanted an Urban feel to their session.  I can’t even begin to say what a great time I had with them.  Their kids are fantastic and were really up for any suggestion!  We scouted around the area, and I fell in love with a door.  Unfortunately, it was probably private property, and when I told them to sneak up and sit down, I had no idea that a BIG German Shepard was also sitting near the front door, with NO LEASH.  Needless to say, you won’t find any images with the cool front door here, but we found plenty of other great spots.  Enjoy!
