The Beautiful Frum Sisters!

October, November and December were the busiest months for Blue Sky’s on record. Thank you to all of my fantastic clients for trusting me with capturing your beautiful families over the holidays. I hope to share lots of these sessions over the next few months. I am thankful for so many things as we start 2014. The health and happiness of my family, wonderful friends, to be active in my community, for new opportunities to stretch my creativity with a job that I adore.

One of my most recent sessions reminded me why I love photography so much! The holiday season was wrapping up, I really felt it was time for a well earned break and I only had one session left before Christmas. I headed down to historic San Juan Capistrano, one of my first favorite locations for a session. I had not photographed around the train station much at all in 2013. While I was super excited for the session, I was also thinking about how great it would be to get all my sessions completed for the year and start my Christmas shopping (yes, this was 5 days before Christmas).

Then the Frum Sisters showed up! With bags full of clothes and accessories and lots of great ideas! I forgot all about what I needed to do and just got excited to create some one of a kind images. We literally laughed the whole session. What a joy these two beauties were to work with! And their Mom was amazing as well.

And then I realized, that this was a gift to myself! That every day I get to do what I love and create images that bring joy to others. How lucky can one gal get! Enjoy! :)

Laguna Beach Pregnancy Photography: The Norton’s new addition!

Nothing better in my world than getting to know a beautiful couple during their wedding planning, becoming friends on the wedding day and photographing their first baby on the way! Really guys, I want to stick with you for life! When there are vintage airplanes involved…even better.

Since the nursery has an airplane theme, Brittney was on the hunt for a perfect location for our maternity session. She did all the scouting, made sure I took care of the permit and basically made it so easy for me, I am ready to hire her! :) The fact that she is beautiful, and Andrew is pretty great, made it that much easier to capture these stunning images! Just a sneak preview!

Laguna Beach Photography – Shoe La La

So it’s upon us……the Christmas/Holiday Card season. Yes, we have been busy putting together and designing Holiday Cards already (so if you haven’t booked your photo session for Holiday Cards, contact us to do so!!). But last week, Kristin and I took a break from the “‘Tis the Season” chaos to have some fun in her Laguna Beach Studio with my daughter. For the past 2 years, my 7 year old daughter has been begging me to allow her to try on my shoes….”just once Mom, please?”. After saying “ummm….no” countless times, I finally agreed to let her do it and get it out of her system. Kristin was there to document it. Now at least I have proof that indeed, she did get to do it once. Enjoy!

Laguna Niguel Family photography: The Montgomery Family

I love a big, happy, crazy, silly, challenging family photography session! Seriously, this gets my heart pumping and my creativity flowing! I love jumping around, making a specticle, just to get kids to laugh. I guess this was why when I looked at the time, almost two hours had past and it seemed like no time at all while photographing the Montgomery family. Each year they do a camping vacation in San Clemente State Park with lots of family and friends. They start their trip off with a family photography session. I love this tradition, as it really captures the story of this family over the years. Thanks to their whole family for being amazing to work with! I will let the images from the day, tell it all!
